Hammoud Chantout

The artist Hamoud Shantut was born in the village of Al-Safirah, east of Aleppo, to a Hamouya family in 1956 who graduated in the photography department of the Faculty of Fine Arts at Damascus University in 1980 Pursued his studies at the National Higher School of Art in Paris and graduated in 1984. The artist Chantout enjoys the characteristics of painter and colour. His work addresses many topics, harbouring them from the outside through the inside, making them both subjective and objective. Confirms the close link between his situation when he exercises the act of creativity and among his means of expression, which transforms his paintings into an honest record of his daily life. swinging between stillness and hustle, high-pitched or dim urine, eloquently silent and, in order to reflect these situations, the majority of his work is biased towards different colours, It's more of an obscure use, but it's left in its buckets. Light illuminations, weakening and intensifying according to the state of his being, while confronting the surface of his painting, which has become characteristic in form and content
