Marwan Kassab Bachi

The artist Marwan Kassab Bachi was born in Damascus in 1934 and died in Berlin in  2016 He studied photography at the Higher School of Fine Arts in Berlin between 1957 and 1963. He worked as a visiting professor of photography at the German Art School from 1977 until 1997. In 1980, received an authentic professor's degree at the school. In Damascus, the talent of Kassab Bachi declared herself, and in Berlin was distributed around the world under the name of (Marwan) His experience began to realize the features, and then became a reduced realism tinged with the spirit of impressionism. In Surreal terms, after another time, she experienced a state of fidgety, during which she swung between the majority of artistic trends and the kind of expressive abstraction on which many German photographers worked. And from which he came out, the facial phase, which in turn had many transformations. The Earth-Like Facial Phase, the most important and most prominent stage in its experience, was launched by the Earth-like Facial Phase. In the way this facial is built using a horizontal and vertical colour touch, Small and large, dark and light. A touch with which the terrain of the face is elevated, with a lot of spontaneity coupled with experience and hence, from this in particular, comes its value and importance.
