Naim Ismail

Naim Ismail was born in Antioch in 1930 and died in 1979, he moved to the south of the country during Turkey's skinning of the Iskandarun Brigade in 1939 with his family and three brothers Adham, Sidqi and Aziz, who later became prominent artists and thinkers. Having received systematic technical training in Istanbul and Rome, Ismail settled in Damascus to serve as an artistic director in the field of publications. He was appointed Director of Fine Arts at the Ministry of Culture in the 1970s, and served until his death in 1979. Naim Ismail is interested in presenting beautiful works visually and also enjoys the possibility of expressing social and political issues. Ismail is a prolific artist, with hundreds of ink drawings, paintings, murals, mosaic works, covers of various versions, and advertisements.
