Nazir Ismail
Nazir Ismail was born in Damascus in 1948 and died in 2016, an artist who trained himself. He discovered the art at a young age by the popular artist Abu Sobhy Tinawi, who was his place located off his grandfather's house. Initially focused on rural homes and mud houses, depicting the simplicity of shapes and life. His style developed with the days from houses to people and faces, using geometric and stereotypical forms that distinguish his work. The expressive touches of the brush strokes, colors and faces of his characters come to create an emotional state, while the canvas celebrates the different symbols. Ismail often used combinations of earthy colors, and his works offer concepts of confusion, anxiety and defeat.
