Ismail Helou

 Ismail Helou is a Syrian artist, born in Homs, 1955. He studied plastic art at the institute of Plastic Arts in Homs and graduated in 1972. He studied civil engineering at Aleppo University and graduated in 1980. A distinguished artist who has created for himself a style related to graphic tales, which makes its followers feel as if he is navigating the memory of a land and people. relying on his reading and recounting his events on his drawing of multifaceted and sensational female characters. His paintings are a kind of monitoring and documentation of what human beings are going through through their emotional expressions that the female is the best example to embody in all its faces, stages and even contradictions and social layers to which she belongs.
