Bshara Al-Samra
Bshara Al-Samra was born in Damascus and raised in Bab Toma neighbourhoods
As soon as he was 15, he began to accompany his architect's father (with experience and exercise) and help him take measures and drawing corners and brackets until excelled in this field.
When he reached 19, he donated with three Christian carpenters and painters in restoring the roof of the Umayyad Mosque, which collapsed as a result of a fire in 1889 and stayed about a year to finish his work.
But his passion for painting and photography led him to open: the first photography store in Damascus in 1901.
