Abdullah Mourad

 Abdullah Mourad was born in Homs in 1944 and graduated in 1970 from the Department of Oil Photography at the Faculty of Fine Arts at Damascus University. Inspired by the rhythms of the Arapsk Lines, Mourad shows great influence in the brutal and abstract currents. Although throughout his art career, he has presented portraits, landscapes and sculptures, he tends to focus on his inner worlds by improvising at the abstract level. The energy inherent in his work ranges from feverish and intense emotions to sobriety and tranquillity, offering asymmetric compositions that leave the viewer's gaze to navigate work spaces.
