Sami Burhan

Sami bin Mohammed Hijazi Burhan was born in the Jaloum neighbourhood of Aleppo on February 20, 1929. Died on 2021. He was taught The Holy Qur 'an before primary school at the Kawakbi School of Abu Yahya Kawakbi University, His teacher, had the previous effect of attaching to the calligraphy and plastic art. He worked as a sculptor and ornate with Arabic inscriptions. Then he went to the plastic arts, and he traveled to Paris and European capitals to study it. Then he went back to teach painting in Aleppo's schools, and then saw that he would be free to study plastic arts and resign from education. He then travelled to Italy to study there, and married an Italian woman, whose three children were born: Antar, who died young, Radi, and Kinda. He then settled his life in Rome, but had visits to Arab and European cities, and decided at the end of his life (around 2020) to return to his hometown of Aleppo and bought a small farm in a suburb near the castle of Simaan, but was destroyed with wars and looted.
