Shalabia Ibrahim

Shalabia Ibrahim was born in 1944 in the village of Jazi belonging to the Centre (Monouf) in the Arab Republic of Egypt. Her first journey with visual art began with the 1960s with the influence of several motivations and instigators, most notably, the true and authentic talent she possessed. An artist living between Egypt and Syria. her husband, the well-known Syrian artist Nazir Naba, address one aspect of her career. The experience of the visual artist Shalabia Ibrahim characterized by a number of characteristics and ingredients, makes her a landmark in the modern Syrian formation in general, and Arab female artistic experiences in particular. Shalabia learned the art herself, practiced it with a lot of honesty, automatic, freedom and innocence, and opening a permanent dialogue with her husband, Nazir Naba, who possesses an artistic personality different from her own. Shalabia experience has preserved its basic elements and has formed through them, perhaps most notably, the Nile, its tales and its myths, Egypt's simple rural world, and its innocence and sincerity.
